Later this month the Northwest Fly Tyer & Fly Fishing
Expo will kick off in Albany, New York, and it’s not just meant for people who
live in the region. Now in its 26th year, this expo is a huge event
that brings in fly fishers from all over the country. Attendees will be
traveling from Arizona, Florida, and all over the state to see what’s new this
year.
The expo is a two-day event that will begin on Friday, March
13. Visitors can expect a number of things to look forward to at the event,
including more than 200 fly tyers who will be showing off a wide range of
techniques. Experts come from around the country and even Canada to impart
their knowledge on fly fishers of all ages and experience levels.
There will also be a military presence at the event, with
two tables and four tying stations reserved for veterans. Interestingly, all of
the experts who are at the show will be there on their own dime. The leaders
behind the expo rely on everyone’s passion for fly fishing in order to make it
a success, and it has been going strong for more than two decades.
